Nomar Torres is a 2026 SS/C with a 6-0 160 lb. frame from Hurst, TX who attends L.D. Bell. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present physical strength proportioned throughout frame with additional room to fill. Ran a 7.38 60-yard dash. Primary shortstop, plays low moving towards the ball, soft hands and fields it out front, sound actions and repeats, longer arm action and release on throws across diamond, can shorten moving forward, shows lateral range and controls body well. Also caught, receives the ball out front, similar arm action on throws to second base, athleticism plays in actions and shows accuracy on throws. Right-handed hitter, begins with a high hand set and back elbow at the plate, loads hands back at start, longer stride moving into contact. Shows a natural handle for the barrel and finds it well, able to impact the ball to the pull side and middle parts of the field with carry but can work all fields with comfort. Very good student. Named to 2022 13u Perfect Game Select Festival.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
