Abriel Torres is a 2029 OF/C with a 5-8 170 lb. frame from Loxahatchee, FL who attends Wellington Sports Academy. Medium frame with a compact muscular build and life to his actions. Ran the 60 yard dash in 7.15 seconds. Primary position OF, showing controlled and refined foot work getting to the ball with hop in his step. Stays in his legs nicely through the play and breaks into deeper inline arm path to release. Generated throws up to 76 mph back to the infield with solid accuracy. Reps behind the dish as well, working from a one knee down stance receiving the ball out front. Deliberate transfer with emerging arm strength showing a pop time best 2.03 seconds and up to 70 mph on the bag. RHH working from a medium balanced stance, high handset and using a small quick stride to get going. Bat speed is present, using his hands to rip the bat head through the zone. Turns well in the torso and showed good direction in the middle of the field. Loud pull side impact with the ability to repeat. Tools to follow here.
