David Orozco is a 2022 C/3B with a 6-0 168 lb. frame from Corona, CA who attends La Sierra. Medium to large build with room to still fill out as he continues to develop. Primary catcher, sets up in a side crouch, shows some quickness out of his set up. Quick and clean transfer with good carry on his throws down to the second base bag. Posted a 2.03 second pop time in the workouts. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a mid leg kick trigger. Shows an ability to get his hands out in front on the inner half. Good pop to his pull side, flat barrel plane through the zone as he gets on plane quickly from a lower handset. Middle of the field approach, great student in the classroom as well.
