Liam Bender is a 2024 MIF/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Coralville, IA who attends Liberty. A slender frame and medium build. Showed good athleticism throughout. Ran a 6.99 50-yard dash. Primary middle infielder who had a good feel for the footwork with athletic actions and good angles to the ball. He made good throws overall and was accurate across the infield at 83 mph. He showed a real fundamental and fluid round with a clean funnel and good throws. His actions carried over in-game as well, and he was able to make some great plays defensively. He also worked out as an outfielder with direct footwork, fielding off the front foot. He carries his momentum through it, shuffling into the throws. He throws from a three-quarters arm slot, and the throws came out well. Threw 83 mph across the diamond with a quick arm showing. He's a right-handed hitter with a wider base, slightly open feet, and a squared stance. He uses a leg lift trigger to get on time. He's direct with his hands and has good strength. Quicker path to contact. Smooth round overall, being able to lift the ball well. Showed good bat speed with an on-plane barrel. He had a smooth round and was able to work to the pull-side gap, driving it to centerfield well. Added 2 hits in-game, including a double. Produced an 83 mph exit velocity during PG Tech testing. Exceptional student. Named to 2023 Midwest Top Prospect Games TP List.
