Cooper Mason is a 2030 SS/RHP/3B with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Loxley, AL who attends Bayside Academy. Medium, athletic build with plenty of physical projection remaining. 7.50 runner in the sixty. Primary shortstop, displayed developing feel for his footwork and angles in the dirt. Funneled the baseball cleanly up the middle. Halts his momentum a bit during the transfer phase. Has good arm speed and accuracy across the diamond. Recorded arm strength up to 84 mph. Secondary pitcher, operated from an abbreviated wind-up with athletic lower-half movements. Takes a shorter stride down the slope and accelerates his arm well into release. Fastball had some life to it, peaking at 83 mph with good location throughout the zone. Mixed in a tight slider with some bite to it. Left-handed batter, starts in a narrow, upright stance with a high back elbow. Utilizes a longer stride for timing before working into a longer, downhill bat path. Maintains his direction well through impact. Showed feel to work the opposite-field field with developing feel for controlling the barrel. Power will continue to improve as he adds strength and refines mechanics. Selected to play in the 2025 13U PG Select Festival.
