Luke Bauer is a 2024 SS/2B with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from Monrovia, CA who attends Northview. Medium and skinny frame with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.20 second 60 yard dash. Primary shortstop, worked out in the infield fielding the ball out in front, takes longer strides to the ball, hands are playable, fundamentally sound glove, has athleticism and bounce to his movements, topped out at 80 mph across the diamond. Also pitched, works exclusively from the stretch, takes his arm back to a quick arm action up to a 3/4 arm slot, stays smooth with actions and online to the plate, throws with some intent up to 80 mph, mixes in a curveball with 10-4 shape and depth. Righthanded hitter, sets up at the plate with a balanced stance and high hand set, inside with hands, creates a flat swing plane, has some rhythm in his lower half, quickness to his hands as well, plenty of feel for the barrel, comes off well, projects well with strength at the plate.
