Caleb Trugman is a 2026 RHP/1B with a 6-5 215 lb. frame from Upland, CA who attends Ruben S. Ayala. Big and strong athletic build with a high waist and broad shoulders. Works from a two-part side step delivery, has a long and loose arm action from a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was mostly in the low 90's with some short sinking life, consistently low in the zone with his fastball for strikes. Change up was a good pitch with big fading life and advanced feel for throwing it for strikes. Threw a slow curveball for his breaking ball and will need to add power to this for the next level. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with a high leg lift trigger, long and strong swing and can impact the ball hard when he's on time and gets the barrel out front, power approach. Good student with a verbal commitment to UC Santa Barbara.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
