Tre Chavez is a 2021 C/3B with a 5-8 194 lb. frame from San Juan Capistrano, CA who attends Saddleback Valley Christian Schools. Medium compact build with plenty of room to grow and fill out as he continues to develop. Primary catcher, sets up in a conventional crouch and shows quickness out of it. Transfers cleanly, short arm action, replaces his feet well on his throws down to second. Posted a 1.97 second pop time in the catching workouts. In the infield, fields out in front and stays in front of the ball well. Is meticulous with his glove work. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a low leg kick trigger. Shifts well into his load, flat barrel plane through the zone with a middle to pull side approach.
