2025 Georgia Jackets Showcase
Derrick Carter is a 2026 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-1 220 lb. frame from Hahira, GA who attends Lowndes. Strong and athletic build. Primary first baseman with two-way potential on the mound. 7.67 runner in the sixty. Has solid actions at first base defensively, stays compact and direct in his actions with a good idea on his footwork and glove positioning, plenty of arm strength for the position and makes accurate throws. Left handed hitter, starts from a narrow and slightly open stance and a toe tap stride into contact, uses his lower half well and generates bat speed, bat contact to the pull side with occasional lift. Works from a simple and abbreviated wind up on the mound with a loose and whippy arm action. Fastball was consistent in the mid-80's and topped out at 87 with occasional cutting action. Curveball was a nice pitch with good spin and power and some 1/7 depth. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
