Brandt Phillips is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-2 200 lb. frame from Fremont, NE who attends Fremont. Large physical build with very good present strength. Has a long arm circle on the mound with a high 3/4's arm slot, loose arm with very good arm speed, stays on line down the mound well. Upper 80's fastball topped out at 90 mph, fastball velocity plays up with plus carry through the zone. Has gained 8 mph on his fastball over the last year. Threw a slurve type breaking ball as his primary secondary pitch, some sweeping life and tightness at times, still developing feel for locating this pitch. Change up was a nice offering with full arm speed and late fade, can become a weapon for him. Further refinement of fastball command and his breaking ball are the next steps. Very good student. Named to the Kansas City Indoor Showcase Top Prospect List.
