Gavin Florio is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Plant City, FL who attends Durant. Recorded a 7.70 60-yard dash time. Primary right-handed pitcher with a physical build and a strong lower-half. Works exclusively from the stretch with an overall simple delivery. Uses a half arm circle through the back before releasing from a high-3/4 slot. Ball comes out of hand cleanly and really good extension down the mound. Fastball reached 86 mph and garnered a lot of swing-and-miss. Located the heater to both sides of the plate. Threw a curveball with 12-6 shape as well as a slider. Slider is best secondary with tight shape and late break. Secondary outfielder and fielded it deep while staying low to the ground. Employed a long arm action before releasing from a higher slot. Right-handed hitter and starts from a medium base with slightly open feet. Works into swing with a high leg kick. Rotated the hips and caught the ball out front well. Good student. Named to the Florida Top Prospect Games Top Prospect List.
