Walker Burbidge is a 2022 1B/RHP, 3B with a 5-11 225 lb. frame from North Salt Lake, UT who attends Woods Cross. He ran a 8.82 second sixty. A primary first baseman with a large build. At first base he waits back on the ball fielding it deep with a wider base, the arm strength is developing and will get better as the footwork becomes stronger allowing him to work into the throws more. On the mound he starts with a side step into a belt high leg lift with the arm working short though the back up to a three-quarters arm slot while the fastball sat 72-75 mph getting good use out of the lower half as he comes down the mound. He also mixed in a curveball with average depth in the low 60's and and straight changeup in the mid 60's. Right-handed hitter, starts with a narrow base using a simple pick up put down trigger to start the direct steep swing path as he shifts his weight into contact well with developing bat speed. Very good student.
