Ethan Barnes is a 2025 C/RHP, IF with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Olive Branch, MS who attends Lewisburg. Large frame with an already filling out build showing a high waist and broad shoulders. Ran a 7.93 second sixty yard dash. Primary Catcher, sitting down in his stance while proving to be athletic in the lower half. Received the baseball with some feel while proving to have skills for framing the baseball. Catch and release skills present on throw downs as he was quick to release. Accurate around the bag as he recorded a pop time of 2.24 seconds. Proved he could drop and block in game. Projects behind the dish going forward as he was fundamentally sound. Secondary Right-Handed Pitcher, starting with a side-step to a higher leg lift while coiling up at the top. Unwinds and then drives direct to dish as he gets extended down the mound. Free and easy arm action as he project plenty more velocity down the road. Feel for a two pitch mix showing. Fastball up to 79 mph with slight cut at times. Mixed in a slurvy breaking ball as well that had hitters off-balance. Secondary Infielder, working smoothly to and through the baseball. Gathers out front with confidence in the leather. Quick release with accurate throws as he changed slots with ease. Right-Handed Hitter, starting spread out before working into stride. Bat wrap over the helmet present before he fires the hips and whips the bat head through the zone. Stays linear while matching plane as he squared up the baseball consistently. Looked to pull the baseball whenever possible. Named to 14u Southeast Top Prospect List.
