Jaylen Walker is a 2026 OF/RHP/MIF with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Pearland, TX who attends Lutheran South Academy. Large, athletic frame with square shoulders and present strength throughout frame, additional room to fill moving forward. Ran a 7.10 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, moves well to the ball and fields it cleanly, loose and easy arm stroke/release on throws from a higher slot, nice present arm strength and carry to the intended base from a higher release point. Also pitched, clean delivery with a longer but fast arm action through the backside; fastball topped out at 88 mph and has been up to 90 mph in past, shows big life to the arm side when working down and good riding life with ability to challenge hitters up in zone. Maintains very well on changeup release and sells it, turns it over well up to 80 mph and pairs off of fastball well; tends to slow on the release of curveball, up to 70 mph but shows some feel and will continue to refine. Three pitch mix around the zone. Right-handed hitter, begins with a taller stance in the box with a high hand set and back elbow, narrow base. Utilizes a higher leg lift occasionally gets mistimed when when in sync shows big strength at point of impact and should continue to unlock more moving forward, gets inside the ball with hands but shows nice present bat speed through the zone. Two-way potential. Named to the 2022 14u Perfect Game Select Festival.
