Zachary Longshore is a 2021 LHP/1B with a 5-11 215 lb. frame from Richmond, TX who attends William B Travis. Large and sturdy frame. Ran an 8.96 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, deliberate delivery that starts with a high leg lift, takes his arm back to a compact arm action up to a high 3/4 arm slot, stays online well down the mound. Fastball topped out at 77 mph, mixes in a curveball with developing spin and 1-7 shape, changeup has diving action to it, tunnels all three of his pitches well from a similar arm slot, works all three pitches to the edges of the strike zone and induced soft contact during his outing. Secondary first baseman, fields the ball out in front with playable actions around the bag. Lefthanded hitter, sets up with a spread out stance at the plate, leg lift trigger, has bat speed and creates lift to his swing plane. Good student.
