Matthew Rheaume is a 2021 3B/RHP/C with a 6-4 185 lb. frame from Houston, TX who attends Memorial. Large frame with long, lean build; ran 60 yard dash in 7.52 seconds. Graded out best in this event on the mound, works from the stretch, up to high three quarters slot, great angle to the plate when he stayed inline, fastball worked 82-84 mph, body and arm speed project, showed slider with slurvy shape and good bite, works quickly. Worked out in multiple slots, graded out best defensively in the outfield, works through the ball well and stays balanced, clocked up to 84 mph on throws. Primary infielder, feet work well to both sides, clocked up to 83 mph. Also caught, side-saddle set, sits high in crouch, stands to throw, inconsistent transfer, clocked up to 73 mph down to 2nd base. Hits from upright, open-based stance, quiet load and pre-pitch movement patterns, steps onto swing, hits off of backside, middle field approach. Very good student.
