Anthony Simard-Kerr is a 2023 RHP/OF with a 5-8 145 lb. frame from St-Hubert, QC who attends Heritage High School. Young, square shouldered build with a lean, projectable build and room to fill throughout moving forward. Ran a 7.53 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, shows sound mechanics on the mound with some energy throughout, side step into delivery with a high leg lift up past belt; long arm action through the back working to an over-the-top release point. Compact front side mechanics, generates extension out front. Fastball topped out at 76 mph, some effort at release, creates deception by varying speeds and tempos to fastball. Flashed both a curveball at 64 mph and a changeup at 63 mph. Similar long arm action from the outfield, strides open with front side prior to release, fields the ball out front, shows accuracy on throws. Lefthanded hitter, begins with an even and spread stance in the box with a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a high leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Shows looseness to hands with a long and linear path through the zone, occasionally gets downhill with path, shows comfort working to pull side, projects with strength. Good student.
