Matthew Bank is a 2024 2B/OF with a 5-3 85 lb. frame from Phoenix, AZ who attends Chaparral. Young, square shouldered frame with a lean, projectable build, room to grow and develop moving forward. Ran a 7.94 60-yard dash. Primary second baseman, plays low to and through the ball and shows some quickness to his footwork, smoothness to funnel into the glove and shows a quick transfer on throws, overall arm strength will continue to develop. Similar actions in the outfielder with a clean gather and quick release, gets uphill at times with release. Righthanded hitter, begins with a slightly open stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; utilizes a leg lift trigger for timing at the plate. Full swing path through the zone, shows the ability to go with the outer half pitch. Contact oriented approach and shows a handle for the barrel, shows timing at the plate, bat speed will continue to develop with physical strength.
