Daniel Gonzalez is a 2022 1B/LHP/OF with a 6-1 200 lb. frame from London, GL who attends Internacional School England. Large, physical built with present strength throughout his frame. 7.69-second runner in the sixty. Primary first baseman, moved well around the bag with some athleticism in his actions. Solid glove actions with a deep fielding funnel. Up to 76 mph on his throws across the diamond from a compact arm stroke. Secondary left-handed pitcher, utilizes a simple operation, landing more to the first base side of the mound, coming across his body as he cross fires. Shorter arm swing, hiding the ball well as he comes from an over-the-top slot. Fastball showcased some life through the zone with occasional cut. Worked in the low-70s as he commanded the pitch well, working it on both sides of the plate. Displayed feel for his curveball that flashed sweeping action through. Flipping it into the zone as he played it off his fastball well. Left-handed hitter, sets with with a narrow, open stance and a low hand set. Uphill swing path that works short in the zone. Present quickness to his hands that produce some barrel whip, developing feel for the barrel as he worked to the whole field during his round. Tended to get mistimed, getting his foot down just a tad late. Good student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
