Jordan Leighty is a 2020 OF/LHP with a 5-6 175 lb. frame from Apo, AE who attends Vilseck. Very compact build with short arms and very good present strength. Left handed hitter, hits from an open stance with an upper body rotational swing, short swing, arms and build limit his ability to extend through contact, repeats his timing and finds the barrel consistently, hits to all fields. 7.70 runner, arm works well in the outfield with a very quick exchange and release, makes accurate on line throws, solid footwork and athleticism through the ball. Also pitched, cross body delivery with a tight 3/4's arm slot, has good pace from the windup but tends to rush from the stretch and get mistimed. Fastball topped out at 74 mph, mostly straight. Maintained good arm speed on his change up, curveball had fair spin and some depth especially from the windup. Good student.
