William Roche is a 2022 C/1B, 3B with a 5-11 172 lb. frame from Rumford, RI who attends Bishop Feehan. Recorded a 7.22 second sixty-yard dash time. Long, lean frame with plenty of room to fill out and add additional strength. Primary catcher with solid catch-and-throw skill set, gaining ground towards his target from a slightly upright starting stance and showing the ability to receive with soft hands. Uses quick mid-line transfer process and developing arm strength recorded up to 69 miles per hour in drills to produce online, accurate throws to bags. Secondary corner infielder with smooth, fluid fielding actions and good lateral range. Well-engaged lower half with the ability to throw from all angels necessary with developing arm strength recorded up to 72 miles per hour across the diamond. Right-handed hitter that hits from a narrow, slightly open stance with a high back elbow and hover leg lift trigger for timing. Middle-to-pull side approach with upward swing path and rotational lower half mechanics. Developing feel for barrel with consistent bat-to-ball skills and power potential as he physically matures.
