Caden Merritt is a 2025 OF/RHP with a 6-0 170 lb. frame from Gainesville, VA who attends Undecided. Tall and athletic build with good present strength and plenty of room for more. 7.23 runner in the sixty. Primary outfielder on defense, has nice arm strength with present carry on his throws, works low through the ball with good aggressiveness at times, stays on line and directional well, projects defensively. Right handed hitter, good lower half actions into his swing from a spread bent knee stance, gets busy with his front leg load at times, swing is short and direct for his size with some bat speed and jump off the barrel. Also pitched, has a high leg delivery with a full hands over head start, long stride out over his front side, high 3/4's arm slot. Has a solid four-pitch arsenal on the mound, throws both a 2-seam and 4-seam fastball, topping out at 81 mph on his 4-seam. Curveball showed good arm speed and shape. Has an advanced change up for his age that he throws fro strikes with some feel. Good idea how to mix pitches, has a chance to become a primary pitcher in the future. Excellent student.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
