Joey Tortorici is a 2020 LHP/1B with a 6-6 185 lb. frame from Prague, PR who attends International School of Prague. High waisted tall athletic build, very projectable physically and going to be a big man when he matures physically. Quick turn delivery with some energy, deep wrapped arm action in back, pulls down front side early and hard in delivery out front, difficult arm action/delivery to deep timed up consistently, works very well when everything is timed up and in sync. Fastball topped out at 79 mph with occasional arm side running action. Still developing feel for spinning the ball, arm action impacts his breaking ball more than his fastball. 7.43 runner, showed very good athleticism and actions at first base, some arm action/front side action when throwing in the field. Left handed hitter, has a busy late load, aggressive swing and is looking to impact the ball, likes the ball in the zone. Good student.
