Tyler Priest is a 2023 2B/SS/OF with a 5-6 130 lb. frame from Tyler, TX who attends Tyler Lee. Medium developing build with plenty of room to fill out as he continues to progress, posted a 6.92 second sixty-yard time. Primary infielder, shows good fluidity to the baseball, looks to make strong first step reads off the bat. Glove works well to both sides, some present softness to the hands, arm strength across the diamond will improve nicely alongside his build. From the outfield, fields out in front and slightly off to the side. Good feel for his mechanics, clean and smooth transfer with a low crow hop. Throws stay on line to all bags. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with pre-coiled hands. Still understanding his rhythm and timing with the pitcher. At his best when using the middle of the field. Flat barrel plane through the zone, excellent student in the classroom as well.
