Preston Cooper is a 2023 RHP/1B with a 5-11 162 lb. frame from Bossier City, LA who attends Airline. Medium frame with athletic, projectable build; has good strength for class. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.41 seconds. Hits from even-based stance with toe tap trigger, back elbow set high, hands move up and back into load, creates separation, showed very well during game situations, hit a home run and a triple in game, loud performance. Pitched, compact arm stroke through the back, throws from high three quarters slot, smooth operation, extends well out front, fastball worked 66-72 mph with good control, did a nice job of pitching to contact and getting quick outs. Worked out in the infield, clean funnel out in front of him, moves through the ball well and maintains balance, clocked up to 68 mph across the diamond. Excellent student.
