2025 PG Nashville Uncommitted Prospect Showcase
Lucas Banks is a 2028 C/RHP/SS with a 5-11 185 lb. frame from Gallatin, TN who attends Liberty Creek High School. Medium athletic build with good present strength. 7.31 runner in the sixty. Primary catcher on defense, sets up one knee down, compact arm action with an over the top arm slot, has good young arm strength, stays on-line through release and repeated his mechanics well, solid overall defensive actions. Right handed hitter, sets up in a spread stance with an upper body rotational swing, simple load and trigger and repeats his timing and swing well, good strength in his hands and creates some impact off the barrel, mid to pull side contact with some lift. Took a turn on the mound, works from the stretch with a big leg raise start, longer arm action to a 3/4's arm slot. Fastball was mostly in the upper 70's and topped out at 81 mph and was mostly straight. Threw a sweeping curveball and a firm change up as his secondary pitches and showed a nice feel for mixing and throwing strikes. Named to the PG Nashville Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
