Scott Arthur is a 2008 MIF/3B/OF with a 5'11'', 168 lb. frame from Spring, TX, who attends Klein Oak High School. Arthur is a lean and athletic player with good projection. He ran a 7.08 sixty and showed speed and quickness in the games as well. Defensively he has nice footwork in the middle of the diamond, and has good hands. Arthur has good arm speed (75 mph) on his throws, and showed very good accuracy. He also moves well showing range and a nice backhand. At the plate he is a right handed hitter who hits from a straight away to slightly open stance with a high hand set. Arthur uses a toe tap trigger, and has a line drive swing plane. He has solid bat speed through the hitting zone with a compact swing and nice swing mechanics. Arthur has a good eye and doesn't chase pitches out of the zone, and uses the whole field. He is also an excellent student.
