Japhet A. Rosado is a 2022 SS/2B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Orlando, FL who attends Central Pointe Christian. He showed good speed with a 6.89 second sixty. A primary shortstop with a medium athletic build. On the infield he stood out with good bounce in his movements and a mature feel for the glove actions, he funnels the ball in nicely and releases it quickly with the ability to change arm slot and throw on the run accurately. At the plate, his right-handed swing was consistent, he starts balanced and slightly open, he worked best from gap to gap and really found his swing in game play lining balls back up the middle multiple times, the barrel is loose through the zone and the hands are heavy at contact providing some pop off the bat when timed up. Named to the 2020 PG Underclass All American Games Top Prospect List. Very good student. verbal commitment to Stetson.
