Braydon Maye is a 2022 SS/RHP, 2B, OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Jacksonville, AL who attends Pleasant Valley. Medium athletic build with room to still fill out as he continues to develop. Primary infielder, works directly to the baseball, deeper funnel in after fielding the ball. Moves well to his glove side, gets some carry on his throws across the diamond. On the mound, has a longer arm action from a low three-quarters slot. Works with good direction down the hill. Fastball up to 76 mph, pounds the zone with it. Mixes in a 12-to-6 curveball that sits around 64 mph and shows good depth. From the outfield, is meticulous with his reads off the bat. Controlled footwork, glove works cleanly through the baseball. Longer arm action, makes accurate throws to all bags. At the plate, uses an even and upright stance with a longer stride trigger. Sinks down into his load, barrel works hard down through the zone. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
