Brock Rinehart is a 2020 C/2B, 3B with a 5-10 175 lb. frame from Woodbury, MN who attends Woodbury. Medium frame with strength in build. Ran a 7.07 second 60-yard dash. Worked out defensively as a primary catcher. Low side straddle stance to start. Catches out front with quickness to exchanges. Short and compact arm circle in the back and getting on top of the ball. Shows arm strength that should continue to develop topping out at 76 miles per hour and popping a 1.95 during workouts. Also worked out as a secondary second baseman. Stays low during close to the ball and fields out front with a funnel up. Works well to the backhand with clean glove actions. Quick release with accurate throws topping out at 81 miles per hour. Lefthanded hitter with a slightly open and a closed off leg lift trigger for timing. Works from a barred load into a flatter bat path. Works to the pull side with a linear shift into contact. Good student as well.
