Terren Sugita is a 2019 3B/RHP with a 5-8 220 lb. frame from Anchorage, AK who attends South Anchorage HS. Big and burly build with good strength. Left handed hitter, hits from an exaggerated open stance, rotational swing with some strength in the barrel, likes the ball inside half and especially down in the zone, straight pull approach. Is light on his feet for his body type and is balanced and sure through the ball with clean hands, makes very accurate throws with solid footwork. Also pitched, simple turn and throw mechanics with a high 3/4's arm slot. Mid-70's fastball, topped out at 76 mph, gets some cutting action at times. Gets caught between breaking balls at times, showed good feel for a change up, threw strikes with all his pitches. Good student.
