Garrett Hortman is a 2022 C/RHP, 3B with a 6-2 170 lb. frame from Warner Robins, GA who attends Houston County. Ran a 7.26 second 60. A primary catcher with a long lean frame. Behind the plate, he starts with a side saddle stance, reaches to recieve the ball a bit but does a nice job gaining ground into his throws with a quick release, showed good carry on his throws with a 2.05 second pop time. In the infield, he sits back on the ball moving decently laterally in both directions, showed an accurate arms with developing arm strength across the diamond. On the mound, he showed a full arm arm action working to a high three-quarters arm slot, the fastball sat 78-82 mph controlling it to the arm side of the plate, mixed in a curveball in the low 70's with good 11-5 shape and some late sweeping action breaking off the barrel of righthanded hitters. At the plate, his righthanded swing starts with an open stance, closes himself off with the stride at times, looking to pull the ball with good feel for the barrel as the ball has some jump off the bat from the opposite field gap to the pull side. Very good student.
