Anthony Buonomo is a 2020 2B/SS, OF with a 5-10 145 lb. frame from Acton, MA who attends Acton-Boxborough Regional. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill. Ran a 5.19 40-yard dash. Primary second baseman, fields the ball out front with a wide base, short steps moving towards the ball and works behind it, works into a short arm action on throws across with a higher release point. Righthanded hitter, begins with a wide base and a high hand set and back elbow in the box; utilizes a small leg lift trigger and can incorporate additional weight shift through lower half moving into contact. Stays direct to the ball and repeats mechanics, looks to pull the ball to his pull side at point of contact. Upper body dominant swing, best when working on a linear plane, occasionally gets downward with path, can work to all fields. Good student.
