Hunter Burton is a 2019 RHP/1B with a 6-4 225 lb. frame from Dallas, GA who attends Oak Lawn Community School. Large frame with room to add strength to the build. Primary righthanded pitcher with a high three-quarters arm slot and a compact delivery. Shorter arm stroke with some effort upon release. High leg lift with a slight hip turn and lands slightly closed. Throws across body and stays online toward the plate. Patient tempo with quiet demeanor on the mound and showed an 11/5 breaking ball. Natural cutting action on the fastball and gets downhill well. Solid command and keeps everything around the strike zone. Secondary first baseman and comes through the ball nicely with deliberate footwork. Righthanded hitter with an upper half dominant swing. Small step forward with an uphill swing plane and looks to pull the ball nicely. Good student.
