Joshua Stalnaker is a 2008 RHP/IF/OF with a 6'1'', 185 lb. frame from Canton OH, who attends Jackson. Stalnaker has a big frame with a lean build. Stalnaker pitches from a 3/4 arm slot and uses a short arm action. He has a smooth delivery and uses drop and drive style mechanics. Stalnaker pitches with average effort and has a nice online finish. He throws an 11/5 curveball with good spin. His curveball has good depth and has some deception to it. Stalnaker is aggressive and really goes after hitters. He has a good idea of how to pitch and uses his curveball well. At the plate, Stalnaker starts with a wide base and uses a no load approach. He takes a short stride and hits off his front foot. Stalnaker has a short swing and makes consistent contact. Presently, he is a contact hitter. He is a good student.
