Maddox Keo is a 2024 LHP/1B, OF with a 5-10 155 lb. frame from Willis, TX who attends Willis. Maddox is an emerging athlete who displays consistent fundamental ability and quick and confident actions on the diamond. He ran a 7.69 60-yard dash. A primary pitcher, Maddox commands the strike zone and his deceptive, over-the-top arm slot adds to his ability on the mound. He uses a high leg lift to help gather momentum down the slope. His 68-77 mph fastball is thrown with purpose to the lower half of the zone. Although he did not throw his curveball much, his 62-mph breaking pitch does show depth at the plate and is very projectable. At first base, Maddox shows sound athleticism and feel for the position. His footwork is quick and confident. His glove is smooth and soft. He transitions well and his 76-mph throws show sound carry and accuracy. In the outfield, Maddox is a glider. He moves smoothly to the ball and fields with gathering momentum. He transitions well and his 75-mph throws are routinely on target. At the plate, Maddox is a switch-hitter. His right-handed approach appears to be his natural side. His operation is fairly simple and he uses a shorter stride. There is quickness and strength in his hands. He has a flatter path and is a contact-first, line drive hitter who can spray the ball with some authroity to all parts of the field. His left-handed approach is still in its developing stages, but shows promise. He uses a slightly bigger leg lift and his swing plane is geared more to the opposite field. He does make great effort from the left side to make consistent, solid contact.
