Solomon Carlton is a 2019 RHP/3B with a 6-0 211 lb. frame from Tacoma, WA who attends Mt Tahoma HS. Thick and strong build. Full hands over the head delivery, gets his body coiled with his back turned to the hitter, deep arm in back coming up to a high 3/4's arm slot, some body lean to get his arm through, lots of moving parts but he got in a good rhythm and repeated his mechanics well. Fastball topped out at 80 mph, gets some late run and sink at times. Showed good bite on his curveball when he stayed on top of it, tended to get on the side for more of a flat slider effect at times. Right handed hitter, very spread stance with a long and rotational swing, arm swing, has good strength and can impact the ball hard when he gets the barrel to it. Very good student.
