Joshua Nogajewski is a 2019 LHP/1B with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Castle Rock, CO who attends Rock Canyon. Medium frame with a lean build. Frame projects to support additional strength. Primary left handed pitcher who worked exclusively from the stretch. Medium leg lift and stayed balanced at gather. Utilized drop and drive lower half actions to the plate. Clean arm circle at take back and released from a mid three-quarters arm slot. Fastball came out of hand cleanly producing some sink to the bottom of the zone in the mid to upper 70's, topped at 79 miles per hour. Breaking ball featured proper shape with solid depth in the mid 60's. Consistently located and sinking changeup to the bottom of the zone with an arm action that matched fastball offering. Effectively missed barrels and induced weak contact throughout each inning of work. Also worked out defensively from first base showing clean footwork while while centering and moving through the baseball. Smooth, fluid glove actions while funneling and worked through exchange quickly. Created accurate, on line carry to each bag flashing the ability to release from multiple arm angles, topped at 77 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with a narrow, open stance and high back elbow set. Created some lower half shift into baseball while employing a line drive barrel plane. Showed good feel for the barrel and consistently worked on a line to all fields. Excellent student as well.
