Gustavo Rivera is a 2019 1B/C with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Bayamon, PR who attends Leadership Christian Academy. Strong athletic build. 7.06 runner, has a loose and athletic lower half, very flexible and quick behind the plate defensively, receives the ball well and has a good exchange, solid arm strength, has the tools to stay behind the plate as he matures. Right handed hitter, deep and high hand load, big drifting stride into contact, timing not always consistent, has strength in his swing and can impact the ball hard when on time, projects as a hitter.
