David Hogg II is a 2024 SS/2B with a 6-2 190 lb. frame from Mansfield, TX who attends Mansfield. Features a well-proportioned athletic frame with present strength. Ran a 6.62 60-yd dash. In the OF, his light feet worked the ball with some quickness and body control. Works into a crow hop after reception and showed a loose arm that was up to 87 mph with some lower arcing accurate throws. In the INF, he showed that same quickness and body control to his footwork that got him to his spots in time with a clean glove where he funneled to the belt with a quick exchange. At the plate, he sits in a wider base where his load/trigger has very few moving parts. Turns/rotates fast. Trusts his loose/quick hands to throw a direct barrel which he does with an all-fields approach that showed gap-to-gap power. Verbal commitment to LSU. Named to the PG All-American Classic.

Swing Efficiency™
Swing Efficiency™ is a score from 0-100 based on how fast you move your body compared to other players of a similar height and weight. Our library of over 10,000 hitters shows that for a given body type, higher swing efficiencies generate higher exit velos. PG All-American Arjun Nimmala may only weigh 170 lbs, but he can still hit 103MPH off a tee thanks to his elite Swing Efficiency™.
