Jared Eddie Henchek is a 2023 1B/RHP, 3B, OF with a 6-5 220 lb. frame from Leavenworth, KS who attends Saint Thomas Aquinas High School. Large physical build that stands to drastically strengthen as he continues to develop. Primary first baseman, stays in front of the ball well and fields out in front. Meticulous with his glove work and reads off the bat. Makes accurate throws to all bags. On the mound, has a long and whippy arm action from an over the top slot. Simple and repeatable mechanics, fastball up to 80 mph, plenty left to be unlocked in his lower half. Arm strength will continue to develop with his physical frame. Mixes in an 11-to-5 shaped curveball with some depth to the plate. In the infield, glove works well out in front, gathers and transfers cleanly. Developing agility into the hole. At the plate, uses an upright and even stance with a low leg lift trigger. Uphill plane through the zone, middle of the field approach. Excellent student in the classroom as well.
