2021 California Workout Camp Session 6
Kenneth Kroese is a 2021 RHP/3B/OF with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Tucson, AZ who attends Tucson Magnet. Long and lean build with plenty of room to fill out. Projects well as a pitcher. High waisted right hander, held a quick operation showing solid pieces to the up-tempo delivery. Stays under control with repeatable actions, rides down the mound well and gets some downhill force on the release. Does a great job hiding the ball, arm is very quick with a short 3/4 slot. Ran the fastball up to 82 with active life to it, compliments the big frame and reach to the plate. Showed a comfortable secondary mix, slider had good horizontal action to it and changeup had decent depth with a consistent arm each pitch. In the infield, played pretty tall and stayed back on the ball but flashed some present lateral movement skills and good intent with the footwork. Soft hands with a comfortable glove and clean transition. Slight uphill release but arm is quick and works at different angles and on the move. Right handed hitter, even stance works into a simple toe tap trigger. Some down barrel action and flat through the zone with some cut off at extension. Overall great body control across his game. Great student.
