Aidan Sakai is a 2023 SS/RHP with a 6-2 195 lb. frame from San Mateo, CA who attends Hillsdale. Tall and long frame with a high waist and a good balance of current strength and future projection. Ran a 7.11 in the sixty yard dash. A primary infielder, solid range laterally to both sides and the angles. Stays in the legs well and stays on top of throws creating carry. A right-handed hitter, wider start with his base and a relaxed and even hand set. Firing the hips and using a flat path and keeps a solid middle of the field approach. A secondary pitcher, worked exclusively out of the stretch. Full arm stroke and 3/4 release with the arm being on time throughout, allowing him to effectively located to both sides of the plate. The release matched on both the breaking ball and changeup, with tight spin on the breaker. Good student.
