Joseph Boone is a 2021 1B/OF with a 6-0 169 lb. frame from Vernon, TX who attends Vernon HS. Recorded a 7.39 second 60-yard dash time. Large frame with broad shoulders, long limbs, and lots of room to fill out. Primary first baseman with arm strength recorded up to 75 mph across the diamond. Clean glove hand actions with a smooth transfer and clean arm stroke. Good around the bag with accurate throws. Secondary outfielder who fields with two hands out in front, longer arm action, lower arm slot. Righthanded hitter with an even base and keeps his weight back well. Hips leak early, high hand set, high back elbow, and looks to work to the pull side. Has some strength and can work to the opposite field. Good student.
