Benjamin Werner is a 2018 1B/3B, SS with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Palmer, AK who attends Wasilla. Large frame with longer limbs and a lean, athletic build. Frame projects for additional size with strength. Worked out defensively first baseman and the infield with clean footwork while centering baseball and working through transition. Sound glove actions and worked through exchange efficiently. Generated some carry across the infield from a three-quarters slot topping at 75 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with a slightly crouched, even stance and simple leg lift trigger. Stays on back side and works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Inside path to baseball with a level barrel plane through extension. Looked to work to the ball to the middle of the field and opposite field gap flashing good jump off the barrel when squared out front. Good student as well.
