Alby Romano is a 2021 SS/ with a 5-7 140 lb. frame from Lincoln Park, NJ who attends Boonton. Small and young frame, narrow shoulders. Ran a 5.32 second 40 yard dash. Primary shortstop, active feet with some quick twitch actions, made all plays with effort, full arm action into throws, smooth backhand with a feel to that side, average arm strength that should improve as he matures, topped out at 75 mph across the diamond. Righthanded hitter, open stance, leg lift trigger, high hand set with a high back elbow, pure hands looking to hit the ball out in front with a short path to contact, could utilize a weight shift into contact for added bat speed and strength off of the barrel, needs to get stronger for harder overall contact.
