Chase Corbett is a 2020 3B/RHP with a 6-0 205 lb. frame from Waxhaw, NC who attends Charlotte Christian. Large frame with broad shoulders and a solid build. Primary first baseman with smooth paced, deliberate footwork while working off the bag and centering the baseball. Displayed developing fluidity while funneling the baseball and working through exchange. Created accurate, on line carry while throwing across the infield, topped at 78 miles per hour. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and hanging front side trigger. Created some linear shift into contact with lower half. Hands load to a higher position and work to contact on a loose path. Utilized a naturally lifted barrel plane while employing a gap to gap approach. Flashed good jump to the gaps when on time and creating separation at contact. Also pitched utilizing a rock step to medium leg lift delivery. Stays balanced at gather and works to the plate with drop and drive actions. Loose arm circle at take back and released from a three-quarters slot. Fastball created occasional downhill tilt through the zone with run to arm side in the mid 70's, topped at 76 miles per hour. Slider showed occasional tight spin with solid sweep to glove side in the low 70's. Also flashed a changeup offering in the upper 60's.
