Roy Carlson is a 2020 C/RHP/IF with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Florence, TX who attends Florence. Larger frame with athleticism and room to fill throughout. Recorded a 7.46 second 60-yard dash. Primary catcher, worked out behind the dish with a higher setup, receives it well, quick transfers and release, replaces the feet well, accurate throws with carry and popped a 2.01-second best pop time. Secondary right-handed pitcher, works solely from the stretch with a big leg lick, full and loose arm action through a three-quarters slot, around the zone regularly with good extended sion out front, curveball showed downer action with short depth through the zone. Also worked out in the infield with good footwork, fielding out front and throwing with good carry across clocked up to 84 mph. Right-handed hitter, stands tall and even, shifts weight well into contact with occasional loft to the path but mostly a line drive barrel plane, some strength shows at point of contact working to the middle and pull side with some carry.
