Christopher Basile is a 2021 SS/2B/RHP with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Miami Beach, FL who attends Ransom Everglades. Recorded a 7.48 second 60-yard dash time. Larger frame with room to fill out and add strength. Primary shortstop with short, quick footwork on the ball. Three-quarters arm slot and creates some online carry on throws across the diamond. High energy release and can throw from multiple arm slots. Righthanded hitter with an upright wide base, high hand set, and a high back elbow. Middle of the field line drive approach and has some feel for the barrel. Hands drop during the load with a longer swing path. Can create line drive contact to the middle of the field and pull side. Power will improve with strength. Good student.
