Bruno Spadafora is a 2021 RHP/3B with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from Pound Ridge, NY who attends Fox Lane. Medium, athletic frame with square shoulders and a lean, projectable build with room to fill throughout. Ran a 7.27 60-yard dash. Primary righthanded pitcher, worked mostly out of the stretch early then incorporated an abbreviated windup, comes set above the belt, uses a high leg lift up past belt at top; long arm action through the back working to a three-quarters release point. Slight gather on backside, strides online coming down and creates some extension out front. Fastball topped out at 81 mph, shows occasional cut when working glove side, can quicken tempo on mound to for better repeatability. Curveball shows short 11-5 shape when on top up to 61 mph. Stays back on the ball in the infield, fields it out front and works through the ball, occasionally gets on the side of ball at release, shows ability to drop slot, takes shorter steps on the charge with balance. Righthanded hitter, begins with a spread stance and a high hand set and back elbow at the plate; loads hands back at start of swing and gets weight onto back side. Creates some bat speed through the zone, upper body dominant swing, shows occasional lift to bat path and carry coming off to pull side, projects well moving forward with added strength. Very good student.
